The following recipes are appropriate for the whole family – low fat and rich in vitamins and minerals.    Helen Bauzon has modified the recipes (highlighted in red)to become Lap Band friendly and lower in calories.

The recipes highlighted here are described as “solid and dry”, meaning you need to take your time and chew each mouthful really well.  Helen Bauzon’s magic eating technique which allows you to eat nutritious food pain free, is explained with in the “The Gastric Band Nutrition Essential” book.

There will be occasions where this texture is too hard to consume, hence wet easy foods or soups may be more appropriate.  For the best and permanent weight loss, keep your food choices as “dry and solid” 80% of your time and easier foods 20%.
