The following recipes are appropriate for the whole family - low fat and rich in vitamins and minerals.   Helen Bauzon has modified the recipes (highlighted in red)to become Lap Band friendly and lower in calories.

Best weight loss results with the Lap Band is when dry solid foods are consumed 80% of your time.  On occasions the Lap Band can feel tighter such as after blockages, regurgitation’s or even on days you are emotionally stressed.  Wet easier foods and soups are likely to be more appropriate to avoid further irritation and enjoyment of a nutritious meal.  This will help to minimize grazing of less nutritious later in the day.
